At our revolutionary peer-to-peer marketplace, we have created a platform that champions up-and-coming designers and artists, allowing them to showcase their creativity without the barriers of curation, ambiguity, or invitation. We firmly believe that everyone should have the freedom to express their artistic vision and connect directly with passionate art and fashion enthusiasts around the world.

Commission Rates: EMBRYO offers a commission rate of 7% for partners and 14% before payment gateway fees for regular users. We believe in transparency, and we want you to know that these commission rates are vital for us as a small team to maintain and improve our website, ensuring a seamless experience for all our users. By supporting EMBRYO, you're not only gaining exposure for your incredible designs and art but also contributing to the growth of a passionate community of artists and designers.

HOW WE WORK

1. What is EMBRYO?

EMBRYO is the global peer-to-peer marketplace dedicated to independent artists and designers. We built EMBRYO to bring together artists to a place where they can monetize their work under their own terms.

1.1 What is the EMBRYO Partner Program?

The EMBRYO PARTNER title is awarded to outstanding artists and designers that have been identified as being innovative and outstanding amongst peers or demonstrate a substantial social following. The title comes with various benefits such as a reduced commission fee, content collaboration, and free physical pop-up opportunities in NYC, with a growing list of benefits as we continue to develop our resources. Our main category of artists and designers includes current students, recent graduates, and independent brands showcasing talented emerging artists and designers of varying disciplines all over the world. Although the marketplace is of a peer-to-peer nature, every listing is monitored to ensure the quality of the user experience. If we personally reach out to you, you can expect to receive the title when you sign up. This is a title you can attain either from outstanding work even if you did not start with the title, or through an application. 2. ORDERS

2.1 How do orders work?

Once an order is placed, you will receive an order confirmation via email, and the artist or designer will ship your item(s) within the ‘SHIPS IN’ time frame stated on the product page. Once an item has been shipped, you will receive a confirmation with tracking info via email. You can also check out the order confirmation in your messages on EMBRYO. Please note that everything is shipped directly from the artists/designers, and some items may be shipped separately.

2.2 How does made-to-order work?

Made-to-order items are produced specifically for you and are produced after the order has been placed. You can find how long it takes for a made-to-order item to be shipped on the “SHIPS IN” section of each product page. Please note that all made-to-order items are not subject to returns or refunds.

2.3 Where is my order?

If your order has not arrived when you were expecting, and you have checked your tracking details, which have not given you any further updates, please email [email protected] with your order number so that our team can help you. You may also contact the seller directly on EMBRYO regarding your order status.

2.4 There is a problem with the order I received.

If there is a problem with your order, please email [email protected] as soon as possible, and a member of our team will try their best to resolve your issue.

2.5 I have received the wrong item, what can I do?

If a mistake has been made, please get in touch with [email protected], and our team will help you within 48 working hours.

2.6 My order arrived damaged, what can I do?

If your item(s) has arrived damaged, we would advise you to please contact us at [email protected] with a brief explanation of the damage as well as attached images of the pieces, clearly showing the damaged areas. Once our team has reviewed your case, we will contact the artist/designer and ask if they can either repair the piece or offer a replacement for you. In the event that the designer is unable to offer a repair or a replacement, we will ask you to return the product, and you will be issued a full refund.

2.7 Can I change or cancel my order?

Unfortunately, we do not offer order cancellations on any item. Size changes are not allowed on one-of-one items. For size changes on made-to-order items, please contact the artist/designer within the same day of purchase if they will allow the change. EMBRYO is not responsible for size change communication.

3. SHIPPING & RETURNS

3.1 How does shipping work?

All our products are shipped directly from the designer or artist. When an order is marked shipped by the seller, you will receive an email along with tracking information.

3.2 How does “SHIPS IN” work?

The “SHIPS IN” time frame is only an approximation and is subject to change depending on logistics. We ask that buyers acknowledge this, as shipping delays are at times out of the seller’s control. We guarantee that our Sellers are aware of the “SHIPS IN” time frame they input to ship their products on time to customers.

3.3 How do returns work?

Please note that not all items are subject to returns or refunds. Please see our Return Policy for more information.

3.4 Which pieces are not subject to returns and refunds?

As stated on our Return Policy, all made-to-order items, accessories, bags, hair items/wigs, and lingerie are not subject to returns.

3.5 I would like to return an item(s) from my order. Will I receive a prepaid return label from EMBRYO?

We do not currently offer pre-paid return labels. In the event that you would like to return an item(s) from your order, we would advise you to email us at [email protected] with a brief explanation as to why you would like to return your item(s). Please note, certain items are not eligible for a return. We would advise that you please check whether the piece(s) you have ordered is a made-to-order item or an item that falls under the following categories: accessories, bags, hair items/wigs, and lingerie. These categories of items are non-returnable and non-refundable. As stated in our Return Policy, our customers are responsible for the shipment costs of their returns.

4. PRODUCT QUESTIONS

4.1 I need specific sizing information; how would I get it?

Sizing information is provided on the description section of each product page. If you require further assistance with product sizing, don't hesitate to directly message the seller. If you do not receive a response from the seller in a timely manner, please contact us at [email protected]. Footwear size conversions vary from brand to brand, so please bear this in mind when referring to the conversion charts provided.

4.2 Will you be getting more stock?

Since our sellers upload their own pieces, we do not control the supply amount. For any queries, please get in touch with the artist/designer. Please note: due to the limited edition, handmade, and made-to-order nature of some of the products, it is not always possible to fulfill more supply.

4.3 Do you have more sizes available?

The sizes online reflect up-to-date inventory available; however, designers often update stock. Please get in touch with the seller for any size queries.

5. PAYMENTS

5.1 What payment methods do you accept?

We offer different payment methods, including VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Information is encrypted, preventing unauthorized access to card details.

5.2 Can I order over the phone?

All orders must be placed through our website. Unfortunately, we can't take payment over the phone due to security reasons. Please get in touch with [email protected] if you need assistance.
